Winter Draws On?

As befits a damp and miserable excuse for a summer the Greylag Geese seem to be arriving a bit earlier than usual for the autumn/winter months in the fields around Cambus. Our usual walk down by the river this evening was accompanied by lots of bird life to photograph...Greylag and Canada Geese, Buzzards, Heron, Sand Martins...

Waited for this lot to take off to get a shot of them all launching into the sunset but they didn't seem to want to leave the loose grain left in the field left over from harvesting...so I settled for some close shots instead.
