Missee Lee

The eleventh book in the twelve book series of "Swallows and Amazons" novels written by Arthur Ransome. This particular book is actually my least favourite. When I was a child all the hardback books were published by Jonathan Cape with coloured jackets showing illustrations from the books. In a bit of clever marketing over the last ten years they have been re-issued in the same dust jackets, making them irresistible to people like me who read them avidly as a child. Since being originally published all twelve books have never been out of print. What an achievement!
