KTown tube by night

I like the coulour of tube stations of this age - the rich blue of the illuminated sign and the deep burgundy tiles.

Those tiles can give away buildings that used to be tube stations - such as South Kentish Town station, which closed on 5th June 1924 (my birthday, many years later) after a strike and never reopened - it's now part Cash Converters, part massage parlour.

John Betjeman wrote a story called South Kentish Town about somebody who accidentally got off at the disused station, apparently based on truth.
