Palmerston Place,

This is a famous stained glass window in the cathedral in Palmerston Place.

K and I were in there looking at the tapestry celebrating Bonnie Prince Charlie's victory at Preston Pans. (Somehow they forgot to mention the last bit of the story, but hey who needs to be reminded of Culloden?) A huge number of sewing hours must have gone into the making of it, and it is very beautiful.

This morning was a bit stressful. After discovering the toilet wouldn't flush, I burned my toast and set the smoke alarm off. I then made a rather expensive trip to B&Q for plumbing parts and appropriate tools coz I couldn't find the wrench. Then the electrician came round to sort out the problems with the fuse board. Then I got on the wrong bus to meet K and had to run the length of Queen Street Gardens.

I left K about 5pm, just when it started to rain so I got home quite wet. When I got home I discovered the cistern had been dripping the entire time I was out because I hadn't tightened a seal properly....

Would have loved to have read my horoscope this morning.
