Magic mushrooms ?

These gorgeous and strange shaped mushrooms were not, of course, magic mushrooms in the psychedelic sense - but they were amazing. Porcini, fresh of course at this time of year, and part of the magnificent selection of produce in Cannes market.

I went shopping with our french chef, Frank. He told us about each item, let us sample lots, and gave such a brilliant insight into what was there and also into the French shopper and chef.
