North Fork Nooksack - Farmhouse Reach

I went to a kickoff for another logjam restoration project yesterday on the North Fork Nooksack. The Farmhouse reach is an extremely dynamic reach of the river with a braided planform and excess sediment load. This is a picture of sediment imbrication on a gravel bar. If you blur your vision just right you should notice that all the cobbles have a similar angle of repose which is caused by the building of a bar in the upstream direction.
