Enigmatic Chimneys

On the way to wrok I often see these sixteen chimneys propped up on a brick wall quite well above the roof of this building. I wonder what they are doing raised up on this arch? You can see the sky through the hole in the wall structure and I've often tried to capture a blue sky through it. One day...
