Lifting the Soul

Blipping early cos I'm sat down for the first time today (waiting for the shopping to be delivered) after a busy old rest of the day. And Mel is sleeping off a monster-headache in the hope that she'll be fit for the Peking Opera tonight. So you get me having a wee play on my Cotic Soul for the first time in ages after getting up early and going for a bit of an explore of a big waste area behind a nearby shopping centre.

Seems to have been turned into a bit of a powered-two-wheeler playground, but there's enough interest for leg-power as well. I was actually hoping for Kestrels since there are some seen regularly around there, but no joy.

Anyway, town for a few chores; garden to let the chooks out and a bit of clearance; and the tip for the fruits of that labour to be divested of once the aforementioned shopping has been delivered.

That's about it really.

Oh, and Newcastle beat Sunderland! Woo hoo! Mind you, BBC Sport have already managed to get a dig in - they really seem to have a thing against Newcastle, and Joey Barton in particular. Now he's no saint, but his attempts at redemption have been going alright the last couple of years, but. The BBC website reported on the Barton 'Incident' today and saying the ref will be happy the 'incident involving Barton' didn't decide the game. Kinda makes it read like Barton might have done something wrong doesn't it? What Barton did was head the ball towards goal; what the Sunderland player Seb Larsson did was handle the ball on the line from that header. *sigh*
