Quant or Condemned

This old house sits at the side of the road on the Otira Highway approx. 60 KMs from Kumara. I have always wanted to take a photo of it but i have usually had my blip sorted. Today we stopped.

Obviously this old house isn't used any more but i imagine in its day it would have been one of the warmer ones looking at the size of the chimney which has now started to split from the side of the house.

I think this house will probably disappear over the next few years which will be a real shame. If anyone knows anything about this place it would be good to find out about it.
