Trickle and Thrum

butterfly and thistle

Took a pleasant walk today in the other direction from the Cloch towards Inverkip. This shore path encompasses road, beach, machair, field, forest and marina before reaching the Inverkip Inn, and a pint (or three) before the bus ride back.

There were only a few butterflies about (perhaps too breezy for them). This was shot in the Marina and is a Green-veined White (thanks gen2) on a lesser knapweed.
