Summer is nearly over

Just love the arrival of the swallows. They are so busy nesting in every nook and cranny (usually where we really could do without them and all the ensuing cr*p!).The air displays as they feed either up high or daringly low are spectacular. They chatter away on the lines and then all too soon they start to gather.Today I counted over 50 in one row. Soon they will be gone on their amazing journey and it will be still and quiet. They are wonderful little birds.
