Moment of sunrise - 5:58am

Well...lived up to my journal title this morning. Got up at 5 and set off for the hills to get the sunrise. 3 cameras, 3 lenses, tripod, filters etc.....but forgot the plate to fit the camera onto the tripod! Today's lesson - check the gear before setting off!

Anyway, managed to use the tripod as a rest (best of a bad job) and some of the shots were just acceptable. This isn't the best but wanted to record the moment the sun started to appear over the horizon. If you look carefully you can just see it to the right of centre.
