Time and Place

Today I found out that, as with many things in life, there is a correct 'time and place'. In this case the correct time and place to work out how to operate you built-in intervalometer on your D7000 is NOT on the beach when the tide is coming in...the tide tends to beat you to it.

I was trying to simulate a long exposure shot (without the use of a 10-stop ND filter) by taking multiple exposures and stacking them in Photoshop to average the exposures....I gave up....my PC was grinding to a halt under the starin of combining 30+ layers...may just bite the bullet and buy a ND filter.
