The summer's returned with a vengeance, possibly for its last gasp before the North Lancashire monsoon season (September to May, with periodic spurts in June, July and August) kicks in again.

Incidentally, I took this picture while eating the world's greatest pie. Chicken, pork and ham all stuffed into one thick chunk of pastry, with the price reduced at the supermarket, presumably because its experimental mix frightened off the pie purists. Not I. Sometimes it takes a connoisseur to fight the savoury food establishment and stick up for the pastry revolutionaries.

In fact, I'm beginning to think I should have just blipped the pie instead...
