Boatsheds - Oriental Bay, Wellington, NZ

Hubby and I took Daughter A to breakfast at the Olive Cafe on Cuba Street - a homely little cafe with delicious food and a great cuppa!

The sun peeped out from behind the clouds as we walked around the waterfront, pausing to take in the view of Wellington Harbour and stopping for the odd photo. Families were out with small children riding bikes while students were skating to their destination, there were plenty of joggers and walkers and others like ourselves just enjoying the beauty and vibrance of this fabulous waterfront city.

The boatsheds are part of the Port Nicholson Yacht Club which has been open for 120 years - the sheds have become a Wellington icon. Above the boatsheds on the hill is St Gerald's Church and Monastery built in 1932, part of this can been seen reflected to the left.

Hubby then left us to meet up with his old classmates and Daugther A and I wandered round a few shops and grabbed another cuppa - it was so nice to have this time together. Daughter A wanted to take me to see Bridesmaids on at the movies which was ever so funny, we had an awesome time. Sushi for tea again because it was sooo delicious last night - Daughter A and I :)
