Round and round

22months 2days

In some ways, it's kind of been "one of those" days today, but at the same time, I reach the end of our days, and think they're never really "one of those days" because Katie always manages each one fabulous - a little dance, a silly wiggle, a random "patpat" "mummy kiss, cuddle". But we didnt have a fabulous night, she's got a molar coming and was up and down from 11.30, until we got up at 6.

We'd a nice day planned, that involved being outside, and as we set off to go on the first bits of our nice day, it started to rain and was extremely dark. We didnt get very wet walking to tea and toast though, but arrived and it was really rather busy. Very noisy and lots of bigger kids. She was delighted when H&A arrived, chased with Harrison for a while, ate some wedding cake someone had brought, but then presented me with her coat. So we left after not very long. I arrived home to find some matters that needed dealing with immediately, and were extremely frustrating, so it was good in a way that we'd had to come home.

The rest of our day was meant to flow straight from tea and toast, so we went back to pick up the people we were taking with us to the Lake that we were going to and 2 cars worth of kids and mummies set off. We drove to the lake, to discover it was closed for the day.

We decided to take them to the town near the lake and hunt for a park. From there on in, things did go a touch more to plan. The children had a fantastic time at the park. She is getting a little braver again about things that she will go on. At first she wasnt sure about the blipped roundabout, but soon she was grinning and screaming with delight. She desperately wanted to want to go on the big slide. She climbed up all the steps but couldnt bring herself to go down. She climbed up the slide (all the way!) and still wasnt keen on sliding down, although she did it once. We had a nice picnic, played more. They had lots of fun. And before not very long, she was fast asleep with Monkey.

We came home and Carol Puppet Lady came round to see us. She brought lots of new products to see (I'm going to help her with some pictures) and Katie had a lot of fun playing with them. She loved a monkey puppet (of course), a big doll called Katie. Although she got confused and thought Carol had said a doll for Katie. She really loved a tree that had lots of woodland creatures peeping out of it, especially the owl. She waved byebye to Carol from the window and played with her clickclack caterpillar for the first time in ages. Right after I'd decided it would perhaps benefit someone else more. Typical. She then spent 20 minutes making "cuppa tea"s. This involved getting a cup and plate at a time from the kitchen, lining it up in the lounge. And repeating several times. Then moving them to a different place in the lounge.
