Afraid of the Dark

On Our second full day in the North East we went on a boat trip down the Tyne from the Quays in Newcastle to the coast; and passing all old shipyards etc. It was fun and very interesting. I took quite a few snaps but chose this one on a lamp post in a car park in Gateshead not far from the Sage and the Baltic, The bit I find strange is the bit that says, " Nearest house number." Well by my observations the nearest house is across the river in Newcastle, which is a different council authority, and of no use at all if the light had gone out and you are left in the dark.
