B'day flowers

So, yesterday was my b'day, and oh boy, was I spoilt.

A new 100mm f2.8 macro lens and a min flash kit to boot! (Perfect timing since we have just started learning studio flash in class) :)

Unfortunately, I have been so busy since I have not really had a chance to play with any of my new toys, but today finally got a chance for a quick go.

This is a shot of the flowers I was given by my stepmum, taken with the new lens and using the 2 of the flash heads.
