Red and Yellow

Went for an early walk. Seemed like a good idea at the time and the daughter was up for a bit of a deer hunt. So, we decided to head out onto the quietest part of the path network.... I swear, I have never seen it so busy! We must have met at least 6 people and seen another 3 in the distance.

Still nice morning for it. Buzzards circling and scrapping loudly, geese honking overhead while doing impressions of Klingon Birds of Prey (the fact that they are back really does herald the end of summer) and butterflies alighting on the many wildflowers along the path.

The dead fox wasn't so cool and neither was the squished toad / frog but the worst bit was the cloudburst which forced us to shelter under trees up the Water Backie. Needless to say the camera got my jacket while I got well and truly soaked.

This image was taken from the path looking over the fields towards the Belmont Arms outside Meigle.
