Little Matter

This is my favourite show of the whole festival, it's grown up puppetry and storytelling.

I met the star on the mile last week and was keen to see the show. We went along tonight and thought it was brilliant.

If you've ever enjoyed animation or hearing a bed time story this is perfect. It takes you back to the time when a whole world could be conjured using nothing but an empty cardboard box. The theatre is an intimate custom built trailer and tent, the stage lit with tea lights. The performance was laugh out loud funny, and also moving, with great emotive music and a thought provoking theme. The actors don't try to hide the workings of the puppets or the scenery but have such conviction that you happily believe in everything that is happening. I'd happily see them every evening if they had enough tales to tell. More pictures here

I'm off to sleep now to dream of shadows and potential ...
