Irises

A few months ago I ventured into the Pound shop...I know, I'm a big spender!! In the garden section I noticed these iris bulbs were for sale. It was well past the correct planting time but the offer was two packs for a pound. How could resist? I planted them when I came home thinking I would maybe see some irises next year.

Saw some grassy looking leaves appear about six weeks ago and said to JohnD that I was going to move them to where I wanted them to flower in the Spring. I forgot to do this and the next time I looked lovely purple buds were beginning to appear. I would say I have had 100% success with these bulbs. They are flowering now and what a show. Don't knock the Pound shop!
