Ducking off.

Today we visited friends who live about 25mins inland from here. They live in an area which is all 1 acre blocks and we wanted to show the grandkids the kangaroos who usually are in M & J's front and back yard (nice except for the roo poo). There is a vacant block next door which is also home to a roo tribe. We took lots of photos of them but the kids were more impressed with the chooks and M's two Jack Russell terriers.
The drive home follows the Clarence River for most of the way and today it was clear, calm and sparkling in the sunlight (rain seems to be gone). We stopped to take some photos and as I walked over to the bank there was a family of ducks in the water and this fellow took off first and the rest soon followed.
