less than entirely willingly

After a ninety-minute kip in the morning Edgar was rather slow to get round to being awake again, though after the previous day's long-sleep = up-mega-early we were wary of letting him have too long to sleep in the morning, even though he was probably just catching up after getting up even earlier than my mum, who kindly offered to use her habit of getting up at five to deal with him in the mornings to let us get a bit extra sleep.
