Bat bridges!

Austin boasts one of the largest urban bat colonies (Yes, we like to claim some weird things) and apparently the drought is affecting them as well.

The Congress bridge in the heart of Austin is the one most people know about. However, there is a second bridge in Round Rock (just a few miles north of Austin) where you can see millions of bats fly out at dusk, beginning their evening search for food.

It is quite neat to see them create lines in the sky as their little bodies take flight. ...

Location: I-35 (Round Rock, Tx)
