Burn baby burn

This is a truly top-notch series from The Guardian again. They and the Sunday Times are head n' shoulders above the "others" for this kinda thing. Today's is a beauty. The stats and tables can quite often make for a raised eyebrow but, more importantly for me, their reportage is always brilliantly demonstrated graphically.

I love this geeky shit.

The grahpic for the global distribution of fossil fuels.... oil, coal, natural gas and uranium.... is fascinating and they follow up this "where the world gets its energy from" study with a similar graphic of projected annual consumption for the year 2030.

Year 2003 = 420.7 Quadrillion Btu

Year 2030 = 721.6 Quadrillion Btu
