British Camp View #49

Here's a view from Herefordshire Beacon on the Malvern Hills back up towards Worcestershire Beacon.

Herefordshire Beacon is also know as British Camp and is the well preserved remains of a hill fort of varying ages.

The views are stunning - across to the Brecon Beacons, the Severn valley, up towards Clee Hill and beyond to Birmingham.

We should have cranked up the Elgar, raised the flag, tied some handkerchiefs on our heads, stood to attention and toasted the Queen with Pimms, whilst shouting, 'By Golly! England is still great!'.

By way of replacement I had a tea in a styrofoam cup whilst the boys had Cokes that had them in an altered state all the way back down the M5 to Bristol. Mrs Running Backwards, who is let's face it, actually called Naomi, chose, wisely, not to have any refreshments.

Fish and Chips for tea. We're running out of Summer Days Out?!

If you doubt the quality of the view it's officially good! I would have happily worked on this publication!
