Political Rally

On the 15th of June 2007, the Malawi?s Supreme Court granted powers to the Speaker of the national assembly to declare vacant, the seats of MPs who defected from their parties. In this ruling, Chief Justice Unyolo pointed out that the Speaker of the national assembly could use a controversial provision to expel any MP who changed party affiliation.
It seems that now the opposition parties are boycotting Parliment.

John,
Politics at best in Malawi, people matching in the street protesting against sec.65 which the opposition are preaching in parliament instead of the budget. this has been the story from last year.

I went to meet Mathews, and found him busy in his dimba(garden)
They have closed the dam, and diverted water in Sonda.
They will start moulding bricks this coming week.

We discussed lots of issues and i will send them to you in an attachment.
Harisen.
