Swoosh!

Are you for them or against them? Love them or loathe them? Are you just a NIMBY?

We'll be living in the wake of 2 x 2MW turbines (enough for nearly 4000 homes) for the next few nights. I'm definitely a fan, but never spent so much time so close to them before - just 200m from the nearest one and in a tent.

As I write, there is a gentle swoosh from the blades. For certain it is less noisy than the A14 we camped near to last month.

There has been a lot of focus on noise from wind turbines in recent years, in particular amplitude modulation. I think living near a wind farm would be preferable to a dual carriageway or heaven forbid a nuclear power station!
