Elderberries

Almost two months ago I blipped elderflowers against a deep blue sky. This morning, the sky is similarly blue, but the flowers have dropped and these luscious-looking berries are in their place.

In purple-black clusters, so neat,
The elder tree's berries are sweet.
If you like a fruit drink,
They'll make wine, but I think
That you might prefer jelly to eat.
