Big trip 'Up North'

Sis and I are on holiday up in the `north Island. We specifically booked a motel with internet access so we could blip every day, but best laid plans etc. There had been storms and power cuts up in Northland and the internet was down. Consequently back blipping paihia from our further three days in Auckland.
Am Social Studies teacher here in NZ, so it has been truely amazing to visit the birthplace of modern NZ ( waitangi). Spent the day there yesterday. This was from the waterfront at Paihia, glorious, almost makes me want to live there, although am a south island girl at heart.
