Combine Dust

A definite chill in the air today and the farmer has obviously decided that now is the time to make hay :) Went for my evening wander to the background noise of the gentle hum of the combine. Didn't meet anouther soul which is unusual as the night was fair, if fresh.

All around there are signs that autumn is on its way. It all seems a little too soon. The brambles are appearing, the cherries are ripe in the woods and the rowan trees are heavy with berries. It was very pleasant to walk and clear the old cobwebs out of the head. very grounding.

One of the things that did cross my mind on the walk waas that on the plus side its only about a month till we head to the sun for a wee holiday :)
