Heirloom

Family gathering today for a roast lamb lunch - my favourite, with all the veg and gravy etc.fantastic.

Mrs W's father has this timer which I think lasts 20 mins. The story I believe is that he bought it to check (and limit) the amount of time she spent on the phone to me. In those days there was only one phone in the house and that was tethered to a wall. This was some 30 years ago - or more. I wonder if there are that many blippers who remember pre mobile phone days.

Anyway it is possible that it's just a nice artefact to have. I have probably got the storey wrong - I will post an update if I have.
