The Devil Has all The Best Lines.

Alasdair Gray addresses the audience after a reading of his play The Comedy of Fleck at the Edinburgh Book Festival.

The cast included literary luminaries such as Will Self, Liz Lochhead and Ian Rankin - seen here on the right - performing what Gray describes as a comedy of a man who is key to a bet between God and Satan; the author giving a gleefully mischievous performance as Old Nick himself.
