Lake Hood Melt Out

Since I had to go out to the airport to pick up Mrs. Chaos, I thought I should check on the progress of the melt out at Lake Hood.

As you can see, there is a bit of open water at the margins of the lake, but the float planes are still on shore.

It won't be long now, however, the temp's in the 50s!

There was some blue sky today too!
