Dream Catcher

Eloise is Navajo who lives in Tuba City. We met her at a rest stop off Interstate 10 south of Phoenix, about 270 miles from her home. Temperature was 106 F. While waiting for customers, she sat in the shade making more Dream Catchers. Native craftsmen set out their wares at stops along the roadside as Eloise's handiwork is laid out before her.

Some believe that a dream catcher changes a person's dreams. Only Good Dreams are allowed to filter through? Bad Dreams stay in the net, disappearing with the light of day. Good Dreams pass through and slide down the feathers to the sleeper.

Lois purchased a Turquoise and Silver Dream Catcher necklace. It has a silver feather for luck.

Personal note: Having taken 308 photos on our trip to the North Rim of Grand Canyon, I will have some selecting and back blipping to be caught up for Aug 28, 29 and 30.
