Adios Espagna

After saying farewell to Valencia yesterday, we bade goodbye to Spain itself today.

It's always a sad time. We both love this country - its people, the relaxed way of life, the culture.

Before our flight, we spent the day exploring old haunts like the Plaza Mayor, where children are pictured trying to catch giant bubbles.

We visited the La Latina quarter, which is close to where our eldest son lived a couple of years ago.

And we watched the world go by outside the Teatro Real and in the Calle del Arenal.

Hopefully it will not be long before we are back there.
