Take Away

6.30 p.m. Cafe Window, Brockley Road, Brockley, South East London.

I fear for the classic 'greasy spoon' as Brockley sadly becomes more gentrified, I fear places like this shall be priced out and that in it's place shall be a more bland looking but cooler looking establishment that shall be achingly hip.

This post was quite apt as earlier in the day on Twitter I had been discussing the lack of old fashioned cafes and the sad demise of Wimpy with my Twitter friend Emma who has never known the enjoyment of a meal at Wimpy or the true beauty of a formica table at a fast food restaurant.

I hope they can hang on for a little longer.
