Royal Adelaide Show

I am exhausted after the whole day of walking through the crowds and listening to the crowds. Our duty to attend this even every second year has been fulfilled. Hanna purchased two show bags and had a go on a few rides. Obviously not on the one pictured. The whole show is a huge event, with lots to see and buy. We tried not to buy, but still ended up with a few bags. My only purchase was a box of seed potatoes.
We saw some lovely dogs, cats, birds and less lovely snakes. There were flower exhibitions and all sorts of craft exhibitions, even a photographic one. Local food and drink producers displayed their products, that was mainly wine, wine, olive oil, wine, olives, wine, breads, cheeses, wine and wine. But pièce de résistance was the show bag pavilion. If you ever worry about Chinese economy, don't! It is safe, judging by the amount of stuff for sale and already purchased.

The day full of events, not only during the show, also before. Imagine 50,000 people trying to park in one area of the city. Weird things happen, for instance mysterious people in yellow vests try to charge $15 to get to my own office car park. Also as mysteriously this car park is nearly full, even though not that many of my colleagues were planning to see the show. Other funny parking activities spotted was private house owners charging to park in their driveways.

On top of all that I managed to squeeze in an optician appointment, choose new specs and sunglasses and have a relaxed wander around town. All this prior to the madness of course.

Well, until 2013, Royal Adelaide Show!
