Bamboo perspective

Yes, it is the right way up. We're just so used to seeing the sky at the top.

This is one of the most rampant plants in what is my very rampant garden. It is a nicely variegated bamboo, and somebody will know what it is called in a scientific sense (when I bought it about a decade ago from the Royal Horticultural Society, I'm sure it was some sort of Pleioblastus, but botanists keep on doing DNA tests and reclassifying things, so who knows?). It was supposed to reach 2m, but has easily got to twice that height. I'm never short of canes.

Looking up into it, the leaves are at the top and the sky below. Like its eventual height, things don't always turn out the way we expect, but unexpected does not have to mean bad, just different.

Even if the sky is sometimes below rather than above.
