Chainsaw Carving

This isn't a great photo because of the background and 'mess' around the subject, but I wanted to illustrate the skill of the artist.
4 hours earlier this was part of the trunk of a tree and it was magical to watch the creations emerge.
The event was the Chainsaw Carving Championships in Carrbridge and I can highly recommend a visit! It will be on again next year (1st Saturday in September) and has all sorts of other activities to make it a great day out.
