Progress!!?

Got to thinking about Harris Tweed today and found some cloth samples sent to me last year.
The company concerned decided to limit the offer to these 4 cloths ONLY. As this company accounted for 95% of the production of Harris Tweed it fundamentally changed the supply and availabillity.
I can understand 'streamlining' but some things are best left alone. I sincerely hope those crofters left can make the living they deserve weaving for the other 5% of supply as the said company has now 'mothballed' the factory in Stornaway because the jackets made using the 4 cloths shown have sold so very poorly.
