growth

I didn't think I'd be blipping this when I took it as I was trying out a setting on the camera, "Backlit HDR". I don't understand properly what the manual says about this setting other than it takes several pics and saves two in different formats.
When I put them on the computer they were almost B&W so I played around and tried the tint setting and the second of the two, which is a little softer, made it to my blip today.
Can anyone explain in simple terms more about this setting?
I'm sure this plant was only supposed to be 5ft tall but it must be at least 8!
