lily

well, i'd crossed my fingers for a beautiful sunset like last night's (...i'd already blipped a different scene so couldn't share it i'm afraid), but it wasn't to be. no worries, as predictable as the sunrise and sunset are, their unpredictable beauty is what makes them so special. another day.

so, take it or leave it. i fancied blipping a lily from a less 'traditional' angle. i do like the top right petal which has a lovely translucent quality about it, and those delicate veins.

talking of sunsets, i was remembering today a top class guy we met while backpacking in Venezuela earlier this year. Luis. he was experimenting with the spiritual practise of sungazing. not sure how his eyesight is ;) he's one of those really decent people you never forget in life.
