Kirkham Priory

Up and down day weather-wise, started off quite nice and then by the time I wanted to go out and garden the rain came.

We have been out trying to set another car treasure hunt -this one is open to the village- in aid of the Young Childrens Open Heart Surgery Unit in Leeds. One of the little lads from pub has to go and have his third major op in a few weeks time, we've had alsorts of stupidity this summer in the name of charity, it's been a hoot.

Kirkham Priory dates back to the 1120's, it is a beautiful ruin with a rather lovely pub very close by.

That done, we have a home smoked chicken in the steamer which is just about ready to eat...so I'm off.

My Grandson starts school tomorrow........WHERE has that time gone?
By tomorrow tea-time he'll be a bigger boy, tissues............!
