Milkweed snatchers!

I first spotted these bugs on the milkweed pods yesterday after I had already gotten my blip. Not surprising we think they are milkweed bugs ~ image that! We have never seen them before and I just hope they are not destructive to the plant. We plant the milkweed to attract Monarch butterflies and don't want their habitat to be threatened. As you can see there were about 20-30 bugs on this one pod, ranging from itty-bitty to much larger.

In other news, we went to our annual camera club picnic today. It was a fun time with good food and great companionship!
