Make do and mend

This is Nick and Brian (or it might be Brian and Nick - I forgot to ask).
They run Bricycles in Malvern Link. They've been going since last December. It is a really great place - crammed full of every type of bike - and I wish them all the best.
Actually the make do bit of my title is a bit of a misnomer. For less than the price of a Tesco's bike you'll get something that has had a thorough going over by Brian or Nick (see the spanner?) and has proper quality lugwork (or has been welded or brazed by someone who was actually taught to do so) and it'll have metal pedal cranks - not the welder, the bike. Have you seen Plastic cranks? I couldn't believe it.
While you are in Tesco's and inspecting the plastic cranks, take a look at the quality of the welds on the bargain-priced, full suspension tat people buy new these days. Looks like pigeon shit.
