Cameras at the Ready

Being a tad off the radar at the moment we were painfully unaware it was labour day in The States today. Hence our trip to the golden gate bridge involved approximately seven billion other people who had the same idea.

That said, it was still a fantastic day. We rented bikes and rode the seafront trail to the bridge, drank coffee, ate organic hotdogs and took in the iconic view. After a brief ride over the bridge itself and a prompt bout of pooing myself after looking down, we rode back round to the beach and relaxed on the sand.

Later, we strolled around the touristy tat shops then made our way to the ferry building, home of the cowgirl creamery, a cheese shop recommended by our good friend, Korea-based San Franciscan Tman Chickenlover (ex-pats in Korea tend to obsess about all things cheese, owing to a severe lack of anything other the the yellowy plastic kind being available).
One large chunk of goats cheese later, we took the streetcar back towards our hostel, stopping for some tasty vietnamese food on the way.

A truly exhausting day, but worth every single minute.
