I vaguely recall reading an article that stated that a cyclist on an average commute, cycling to work every day, in an average working year, would get wet on only 12 of his/her commutes in the UK.

That's no consolation to this cyclist, I imagine.

It was sufficiently windy last night to cleave my apple tree in half. It has borne more fruit than ever before which probably is the reason for its downfall. It's so sad but there you go.

Windy, wet weather always encourages unusual behaviour in some of the pupils. Why? Who knows..

At least it feels like proper weather.
