I'll send you the fare . . .

Driving thru' Kiltimagh today and spotted several bronze figures. This was nicest shot, but the most poignant was across the road.

A monument to all those young men and women who left Kiltimagh for England and elsewhere during the 1950's, entitled; 'I'll send you the fare'.

Hard to believe we're headed back to the boats and planes again 60 years later. Just hope my kids pick somewhere nice so I can go visit :-)

Lemass and Collins and so many others must be spinning in their graves.
