Cromarty harbour, The Black Isle

The Black Isle, sounding like a location for a Tin Tin book, is actually a delightful peninsula north of Inverness, "in the Highlands, but not of the Highlands", it is said. I loved the little harbour. The flowering pineapple mayweed everywhere suggests decrepitude, but the fishing boats and the dolphin watching tour boats tell a different story. A lovely, busy little Highland coastal village with lots happening!
